Sumthin Brown (Bonolo Mafoyane) launched her HSR monthly residency with a two hour tribute to Nina Simone in song, poetry, and commentary. 
Tonight’s episode features vocals from solely black women with works from Lisa Simone, Akua Allrich, Zamajobe, Vanessa Rubin, Sylvia Mdunyelwa, Brenda Boykin, Laura anvils and more. With one classical tribute song written and composed by Greek master pianist Yanni.
