Something Else w/Ralph Borland
Ralph Borland plays from his vinyl and digital music collection, acquired over the last thirty years and covering a century of sound, introducing tracks and how they reached him. Ralph started out as a kid making tapes on the family radio, before meeting (and making) his scene DJing and promoting trip hop, hiphop, rare groove and more in Cape Town in the 1990s. He promoted, DJed and designed for underground hiphop labels in New York in the early 2000s, and added to his UK Funky and out-there dance-music collection living in Dublin in the first wave of dubstep. An avid radio listener and digital futurist, Ralph is always adding new tunes to his crate, filling out patterns and making connections to share with his listeners.
